Oscar graduated from Oxford Polytechnic (now Oxford Brookes University) in 1990 with a 2.i honours degree in Computing and Mathematics. Since then he has developed a career working in technology-related roles for major blue chip organisations internationally. Initially a database designer Oscar rapidly added project management to his skills and within a few years was advising such international institutions as Eurocontrol and NATO on project management of rapid application development projects. Since the mid-1990’s Oscar has increasingly specialised in business continuity, cyber security and information governance and recently spent 4 years as Services Director for Finmeccanica Cyber Solutions in the UK.
Oscar’s career has included spells in all parts of the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, France, Italy, Turkey and the United States.
A personal note: My track record is one of making things happen, usually in aggressive time scales and in complex environments, with large teams of diverse, experienced professionals. As a qualified and experienced MSP and PRINCE2 Practitioner I am accustomed to structuring and delivering transformational programmes that focus on delivering the required outcomes and business benefits.
I am active in the Information Assurance Advisory Council (IAAC) and a keen supported of the Cyber Security Challenge UK through which avenues I hope to help attract new, young talent into this exciting industry. I am also a regular speaker at events relating to cyber security, governance, risk and compliance and have a number of publications to my name.
